Healing from Trauma

Your Journey through Healing

Safety, Processing, Integration

Healing is rarely linear. It unfolds in layers — moments of insight, integration, and rest.

Rather than offering single sessions without direction, I hold therapy as a journey — a process that supports you to move at your own pace, in a way that feels grounded and safe.

Supporting you step by step — first building safety, then processing experiences, and finally integrating lasting change into your life.

These stages aren’t fixed or prescriptive they’re simply a map to help orient our work together.

1. Grounding & Safety

Before we explore deeper experiences, we begin by creating a foundation of safety and stability — in your body, emotions, and relationships.
This stage is about strengthening your capacity to stay grounded and supported, even when life feels unpredictable.

Focus areas

  • Calming your nervous system

  • Building trust and safety in the therapeutic relationship

  • Gentle awareness of parts of self

  • Learning practical grounding and self-soothing tools

Usually around 4–6 sessions, weekly or fortnightly.

We go gently here — establishing safety, so that when deeper memories surface,

it’s from a place of steadiness rather than overwhelm.

2. Healing & Integration

When you feel ready, we can begin processing the deeper layers — the memories, emotions, and beliefs that have shaped your patterns of coping.

Using EMDR, parts work, and other trauma-informed approaches, we work together to bring care, understanding, and completion to those experiences.

Focus areas

  • EMDR trauma processing

  • Working with protective and wounded parts

  • Restoring self-compassion

  • Deepening emotional regulation

Often 6–10 sessions, depending on your needs and pace.

This is tender work — not about fixing yourself,

but allowing healing where it was once too painful to look.

3. Consolidation & Growth

As healing settles, we focus on integration — strengthening your sense of self and reconnecting with meaning, boundaries, and vitality.

Focus areas

  • Integrating insights from therapy into daily life

  • Strengthening healthy boundaries

  • Nurturing self-leadership and authenticity

  • Reconnecting with joy and purpose

Usually 3–6 sessions, spaced fortnightly or monthly.

This is where healing becomes living — bringing your insights into everyday life.

4. Ongoing Integration Support

Many clients like to stay connected after the main work feels complete through occasional “check-in” sessions. These sessions are reflective and supportive, helping you stay aligned with your growth.

These single sessions are available as needed.

Your pace, your process.
You’re always in charge of the timing and direction of your therapy.

These journeys simply offer a sense of rhythm and structure, helping you know where you are in your healing and what might come next.
